71-year-old man was referred by the rheumatology department for CT evaluation of the lower extremities, prior to commencing therapy. The patient had a history of gout. A non-contrast Dual Energy CT scan of the feet and ankles was performed. Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR) demonstrate the right foot with and without monosodium urate crystals (MSU) deposit color-coding, especially at the first metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joints. 3D Volume Rendered shows the volume estimate of the urate burden, the right foot and ankle (red) and the left foot and ankle (green).
